Camouflage - types and colours

Special clothing, the main purpose of which is to camouflage a man against the background of natural terrain, appeared more than a hundred years ago. This type of clothing is called camouflage and has since become widespread in almost all the armed forces of the world.

Most countries in Europe and North America are equipped with the 'Forest' variant, though the second type, 'Winter' camouflage, is quite common in the northern regions. The armed forces of North Africa and Central Asia usually camouflage their troops with "Desert" camouflage, while the conscripts of South America and South East Asia flaunt the fourth version - "Jungle". The fifth type of camouflage is the rarest, as it is used by the smallest group of troops located in the south of the African continent, a variant of the camouflage uniform called "Bush".

Forest camouflage

The first variant of camouflage clothing, the Forest camouflage, is created with a large predominance of dark green, which is perfectly suited to the introduction of combat operations in the mid-northern latitudes of the globe.

The second variant of the military uniform is made on the basis of white colour, as in the places of its application there is a large amount of snow, which covers the ground for quite a long time.

The colour scheme for the third variant, Desert Camouflage, is dominated by light grey and light brown tones that allow the soldiers to blend in perfectly with the steppe and desert-rich terrain.

The fourth camouflage variant somewhat resembles the first type of similar clothing, but the Jungle camouflage camouflage has a large amount of black added, and the dark green hues have been replaced with swamp colours.
